Phillipa Fit Tip 19 – Plank variations

Hi guys, I’m Phillipa from Fit College and if you’re anything like me you get bored if you’re holding a plank for two minutes straight, so today I’m gonna give you some fun different plank variations to mix it up and engage your core.

The first one is super simple. Come down into your plank position and you can either lift a foot or a rest. Or if that’s too easy you can do both at the same time.

The next one is hip taps; so from your plank position you’re dropping your right hip and then your left. You can do this for a minute straight or you can count how many hip taps you do.
The next one is up on your hands and walking forward and backwards. This is really good for engaging that core and making the move a bit more interesting.

The next one is your windmills. So that’s walking to the left and then to the right
